People allergic to dairy may often replace the milk in drinks with soy or almond milk. However, for those who are allergic to dairy AND eggs (like me), stay alert when going to Starbucks because of their new drink. The cold foam from their new Cloud Macchiato drink is made from egg whites and unfortunately, they cannot replace or take it out. When you go to Starbucks, be careful of what you order, and be sure to ask about cross-contamination. 

Martina Baker is a fifteen year old girl who has a rare disorder called cell activation syndrome. This makes her "allergic to almost everything" including water and heat. Simply inhaling cooking oil can send her to the emergency room.  Martina adopted a highly trained dog that senses when she is about to have a reaction by smelling the release of histamine from her body.
