Many people reply back saying that when they go to school, they pretend they are fine, but in reality, they are hurting inside. This section serves to put a STOP to bullying so that no one will ever feel alone. Let's. explore the possibilities of eliminating all types of bullying.

Being Different

Food allergies make us different. We can't eat the foods that many people enjoy, we have to read labels, carry an Epi-Pen around, we have to ...

WHAT CREATES BULLIES?

Understanding how and why bullies hurt and target others is a key element in knowing how to stop them. Many bullies hurt others for attention. They may feel ignored at their home or school. They could be neglected by the people closest to them such as their friends or family.  Many people can be a bully because they have learned this behavior at home. They may be influenced to act this way by an adult or sibling. Bullies dominate others - blaming others for their problems and craving power and attention. They see children and kids as their target, hurting them in different forms. By bullying others, they feed their self esteem.  Many bullies use these excuses as a way to define their behavior :

- I bully others because it makes me feel stronger, smarter, and a better person.

- I bully others because I am treated like this at home.

- I bully others because I am neglected, and I want attention.

- I bully others to feel a sense of empowerment.

- I bully others because I am jealous of them.

Have you ever bullied somebody, unknowingly? Have you ever mistreated someone thinking that you are just joking? Words can have a big impact on someone. If you don't choose your words correctly, you may really hurt the person you are talking to.  People can bully others without knowing it. It is important to treat others fairly and not to be mean or neglect others. Bullies can hurt others and can spread that hate around.
